Competitors :
Vanessa Gusméroli FRA
Laetitia Hubert FRA
Elina Kettunen FIN
Caroline Gülke GER
Miki Ando JPN
Elena Sokolova RUS
Amber Corwin USA
Galyna Maniachenko UKR
and from the qualification round :
Anne-Sophie Pichon FRA
Sophie Favrichon FRA
Miki Ando probably made the trip to France as we saw a young japanese
girl near the rink (looking like just leaving the rink), but then she should
have withdrawn, as there were only 9 ladies competing.
Costumes :
Elena was in black with a grey shining top. Vanessa was wearing a very nice black
dress that suited her very well, same style as her dark blue dress. Laetitia
was wearing a green dress from a short program (?). Elina Kettunen had a blue
top and a white dress, Amber Corwin was all in red. Galyna Maniachenko wore the
costume for her long program on "Schindler 's list", the light blue dress with
the long sleeves. Anne-Sophie Pichon had a black dress, like Caroline Gülke,
while Sophie Favrichon was in white.
Judges :
GER, FRA, GBR, USA, RUS, FRA, FIN
Comments on comments :
Numbers between parenthesis are the judge marks, (3--3) means they
all gave 3.
After each round intermediate results were given, which you can guess
as the starting order of round x follows the inverse rankings after round
x-1 (last one starts).

Best triple Salchow : Laetitia Hubert, Galyna Maniachenko
Out : Elina Kettunen, Sophie Favrichon.
It was quite tense to see Vanessa failing her first attempt, as the triple
Salchow is not at all her favourite jump ! But she made it on the second try
(she even made a cross sign afterwards ;-))
The triple Salchow is definitely a jump for Laetitia !
Quite sad to see Elina being disqualified so early, her triple Lutz-double
Toe is great (as her 3Lz-2Lp, and maybe her 3Lz-3Lp (??))
We could see here the stressfull point of this format : two consecutive errors
and you're out !

Best triple-double combination : Elena Sokolova
Out : Anne-Sophie Pichon
Good second try for Vanessa, who could have downgraded her combination to an
easier 3T-2T, but kept the 3Lz-2T.
Guts for Galyna too who also went for the difficult 3Lz-2T !

Best triple flip / Lutz : Elena Sokolova
Out : Amber Corwin, Galyna Maniachenko
Galyna was quite strong in practice on the 3Lz and 3Lz-2T... A main contender out !

Best jump : Elena Sokolova
Out : Caroline Gülke, Laetitia Hubert
Quite interesting here...Caroline received some points for a triple-double
!! I guess some judges didn't get it was meant to be a triple-triple.
Laetitia was quite close of landing the triple-triple on the first attempt (the
3Lz was almost there, and when the first jump is on...).
Elena had maybe a slightly touched landing on the 3Lz... but she was far from
the judges ;-). She did quite a lot of 3Lz-3T in practice though. Can't figure
out how some judges can mark the jump as failed when others mark it as successfull
??
Well, Elena alone to try the triple Axel...
She indeed showed up for the first try, which she popped (single Axel),
and she preferred to stop aferwards...
